Draft, pending review. Signal from White Noise is an experiment: a game that changes every day based on what players try to do in it.

What we record

Inputs made inside the game area only: which keys you press and for how long, where you click or tap, swipes, pinches, mouse movement (sampled a few times per second), and gamepad buttons. We also record your screen size, device type (phone, tablet or desktop), your browser's language, and when you arrive, leave, or switch tabs.

Keys you type anywhere outside the game area are never recorded.

What we don't record

No accounts, names, email addresses or contacts. Your IP address is used only to work out your country and is then discarded. Your browser keeps a random ID so we can tell when someone comes back. It isn't linked to anything about you, and clearing your site data removes it.

How long we keep it

Raw input events are deleted after 90 days. We keep aggregate counts, such as "312 players pressed up on day 4", indefinitely.

Who sees it

The data is analysed by the game's developer and by automated agents that design the next build. We never show other players what you typed. We don't sell the data or use it for advertising.

Children

The game is designed to be safe for players of any age, and it collects nothing that identifies you.
